With successful communication design, we can capture attention for our clients’ messages, values, or products and achieve a real impact. We precede the design process with several questions: What kind of reaction do I want to elicit? How and where should it be presented? Whether it’s on a poster, a website, or a product; with bold colors or a limited color palette. Text sizes, layout, and composition are also crucial aspects. It’s always essential to keep in mind who is being communicated to – and why.
Head of Communication Design at modem conclusa: Sofia Macarro
As the Head of Communication Design, I play a central role in the visual and linguistic execution of client and internal projects – working closely with colleagues from other areas of expertise.
One of my primary responsibilities is to understand complex client topics and present them in a way that catches the eye, engages recipients, and encourages them to align their actions accordingly. This requires a keen eye for detail and design aesthetics, while always keeping the client’s requirements and corporate identity in mind.
Additionally, we collaborate closely with external service providers such as graphic designers, media agencies, and print shops. Here, too, we focus on the client’s expectations, ensuring high quality and precision.
Our design expertise is also essential internally, helping make complex topics like the Sustainable Development Goals or Inner Development Goals accessible and easy to understand.
Developing creative ideas, bringing them to life with the right tools and techniques, and delivering a visual message to others fascinates and motivates me in my work at modem conclusa. This passion dates back to my school days when my notebooks were already colorful, illustrated, and decorated with various embellishments. This way of documenting helped me better visualize and retain what I had learned. I am still convinced of this form of communication today: a well-designed message can significantly influence people’s perception and actions, making a positive contribution to society.
