Self-determination, responsibility, creative drive and diversity characterise my work as Managing Director at modem conclusa. I believe in communication as a lever for transformation – for companies, organisations and our society. I like to work in sparring on an equal footing – and always with the aim of achieving a positive impact.
Of course, there are also headwinds: time and budgets are tight. And the digital communication landscape is changing rapidly – through AI, bots and algorithmic uniformity. This makes genuine, human communication that connects, shows attitude and creates trust all the more important.
My vision for modem conclusa? An agency that also works beyond the sustainability bubble. One that shows that part-time careers are possible; one that celebrates female perspectives, assumes equal rights and sees a culture of communication as a central element of entrepreneurial success.
Our customers are far more than just clients. They are our sparring partners – and offer us the opportunity every day to think ahead, learn and create something new together.
From the Waldorf School to impact communication
I come from an entrepreneurial household and knew early on that I wanted to shape things, take responsibility – to be a ‘boss’. The Waldorf School moulded me with a sustainable, nature-oriented lifestyle that became the norm for me. My enthusiasm for foreign languages, cultures and history also began there. This enthusiasm initially led me to study modern history. However, the desire to get closer to people and topics led me in a roundabout way to study business administration, specialising in marketing and communication. A formative internship in the correspondence office of Cosmopolitan and the Süddeutsche Zeitungs Magazin in New York strengthened my desire to accompany topics not only selectively, but in the long term. That’s why comprehensive communication and PR became my home.
After almost ten years at modem conclusa and two children, I changed my professional perspective: I founded the agency People and Brands together with a long-time friend – and worked independently in the lifestyle and celebrity sector for two years. But I couldn’t let go of my ‘world-saving topics’. In 2011, I returned to modem conclusa as managing director and co-partner – with a broader perspective and a new role.
