THE CULTURE OF RELATIONS

Organic and regional – can you eat any better?

Regional and seasonal organic products should be a staple on every shopping list and meal plan. They ensure high-quality, delicious food while also contributing to climate and environmental protection. Since regional and seasonal products travel shorter distances, they consume fewer resources and help reduce climate impact. Choosing organic products from Bavaria also strengthens local agriculture, helping farmers grow more sustainable and future-proof.

However, making the right purchasing decision isn’t always easy. Not everything labeled “regional” is truly regional. And with so many organic and other quality seals (ranging from vegan to “no chick culling”), it takes effort to navigate them all.

Luckily, one seal makes things simple: the Bavarian Organic Seal.

  • Higher organic standards than the legal minimum
  • Traceable origin: Grown, harvested, processed, and packaged in Bavaria
  • Supports environmental protection
  • Strengthens local organic farmers and processors
  • Covers a variety of products: Eggs, pasta, honey, potatoes, milk, salad, meat, and more
  • Available in supermarkets, organic stores, direct sales, and restaurants
  • Strictly monitored by a government-controlled system

modem conclusa supports the Bavarian Organic Seal in press relations, influencer marketing, and special events like the Oktoberfest and the Munich Christmas Market.

  • In addition to writing traditional press releases, we highlight outstanding businesses certified with the Bavarian Organic Seal. Given today’s economic and environmental challenges, presenting this topic in the media can be difficult. However, thanks to strong media relationships, we successfully increase the seal’s visibility through press coverage.
  • Through influencer collaborations, we greatly expand visibility, reaching new audiences and educating them about the Bavarian Organic Seal and its positive impact on climate and local organic farming.
This year, we successfully implemented two different influencer campaigns:

    • Together with Anya from Tegernsee Kitchen, we visited three different farms and took a look behind the scenes of organic farming in Bavaria. Anya was able to show her followers how organic milk is turned into yoghurt, what needs to be considered in organic cattle farming and meat production and how old grain varieties such as emmer and einkorn are grown and used to make pasta or risotto mixes. All products are certified with the Bavarian Organic Seal.
    • In a series of interviews with Verena from allmydeer, we met three farmers from the vegetable, dairy cattle and laying hen farming sectors. In a kind of interview format, Verena introduced her followers to the Bavarian organic label and the processes on the farms and in further processing.
  • Special Events:
    • Oktoberfest: In 2023, we supported the Bavarian Organic Seal for the second time at the world’s largest folk festival. Together with three well-known micro-influencers, we explored tents and stalls offering Bavarian Organic Seal-certified products. The showcase tent was the Volkssängerzelt Schützenlisl, on the Oide Wiesn, where tent host Lorenz Stiftl serves mostly organic food, many of which are certified with the Bavarian Organic Seal. At stands such as the Schmankerl-Alm, the Schlemmer Michl and the Münchner Kindl, the influencers tasted the Bavarian organic variety at the Wiesn, from bratwurst and chips to the best wines and sparkling wines. We selected and supported successful food and lifestyle influencers from Munich and the surrounding area and provided on-site support.
    • Munich Christkindlmarkt: For the second consecutive year (2023), we supported the Bavarian Organic Seal at one of Bavaria’s largest Christmas markets. Alongside influencers, journalists, and the Bavarian Organic Queen, we visited stalls offering organic mulled wine, bratwurst, and other festive specialties. In this way, we gain attention for the seal of approval in the press in the state capital and the surrounding area. By cooperating with influencers, we also reach a new target group and can thus educate people about organic, regional food and its importance for a healthier climate.

At modem conclusa, we love enjoying food with the Bavarian Organic Seal wherever it’s available. Want to learn more? Find the seal on the official website!
