THE CULTURE OF RELATIONS

Do you actually know what you're eating?

Due to the rapid social changes of recent decades, many people no longer know where their food really comes from—or under what conditions it is produced. Let alone recognizing how much passion and hard work go into food production.

This is exactly where the Bayerischen Bio-Erlebnistage come in. Once again, in late summer 2024 (this year from August 30 to October 6), hundreds of farmers, processors, restaurants, and retailers from Bavaria’s organic sector opened their doors to the public. Over six weeks, thousands of visitors—both young and old—had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of organic farming, actively participate in some activities, and gain insight into the many aspects of sustainable nutrition.

For several years, modem conclusa has been supporting this Bavarian organic event series in the areas of press relations, social media, and influencer marketing, as well as overseeing selected events, including live on-site reporting.

The most intensive phase of communication takes place in the weeks leading up to, during, and immediately after the Bio-Erlebnistage. Thanks to a well-structured project and editorial plan, much of the work can be completed—or at least well-prepared—in the months beforehand:

  • Our press work includes not only writing traditional press releases but also profiling various events and their hosts, as well as inviting regional media representatives. In today’s fast-moving news landscape, this is no easy task—but it remains crucial. Because anyone who has ever attended an Bio-Erlebnistag remembers it for a long time—and always in the best way.
  • For the Bayerischen Bio-Erlebnistage, the most important social media platforms are Instagram and Facebook. Through posts, videos, images, and interviews, we raise awareness about the event series and highlight the importance and diversity of Bavarian organic farming. These platforms also allow us to educate people about organic agriculture—whether through informative fact-based posts or playful content like videos and delicious recipes featuring Bavarian, regional, and seasonal ingredients. Using Instagram’s Collab feature, we emphasize the close collaboration between the Bayerischen Bio-Erlebnistage, an event series organized by the State Association for Organic Agriculture in Bavaria (LVÖ) with the support of the Bavarian State Ministry for Food, Agriculture, and Forestry (StMELF), and the many event organizers.
Community management plays a key role as well. Engaging in direct exchange allows us to excite potential visitors, attract new event organizers, increase reach together with Bavaria’s four major organic associations—Naturland, Biokreis, Bioland, and Demeter—and reinforce the importance of this event series in collaboration with the ministry.
  • Through influencer marketing, we greatly expand visibility and reach new target groups, helping to spread the message of the Organic Experience Days and rekindle the conversation between consumers and farmers. This, in turn, fosters greater appreciation for healthy food and, above all, for the people behind it. The enthusiasm of influencers for the Bio-Erlebnistage is also evident in community engagement. In 2024, we collaborated with six different influencers from the food, sustainable living, and family sectors.
  • On-site communication at the events gives us the best opportunity to create impactful content and experience visitor enthusiasm firsthand. Many attendees leave an Bio-Erlebnistag saying, “Today, I learned so much—this experience has completely changed the way I see the food I eat every day.”

At modem conclusa, we wholeheartedly celebrate this event. Do you? If so, follow @bioerlebnistage on Instagram and Facebook!
